Recent interviews: Talking Autism Pseudoscience on TVOntario & Autistic Parenting on We Chose Play
I recently spoke on TVO's Big If True series about autism pseudoscience & talked parenting and advocacy with Daria Brown at Affect Autism.
I enjoyed being a guest on We Chose Play, therapist Daria Brown’s podcast about autism, inclusion & new approaches to therapy. I talked about making change in schools, Barry Prizant’s work, the double empathy problem & parenting as an autistic. Here’s the link:
I was also on TV Ontario’s awesome series, Big If True, which debunks pseudoscience. I talked about autism pseudoscience being sold online, as well as problems in biomedical research. Here’s a clip of just my section.
The entire episode also featured the BRILLIANT Melissa Eaton, who has investigated autism fraud extensively, and Melanie Penner, an expert from the Holland Bloorview Children’s Centre.
Hope you found these interesting. Lots of work to be done still, but great to have coverage and discussion in the public sphere!
